Here is a link to a piece on it by Erwin Chemerinsky, and here is a link to an Op Ed piece in the New York Times by Jeff Fisher (counsel for Crawford). I think Chemerinsky accepts too readily prosecutors’ predictions of difficulties that would be created by a win for Williams, and he fails to take into account the fact that numerous states have long operated without undue difficulty under the regime that Williams seeks to establish as a matter of constitutional law.
