More fallout from USS ENTGERPRISE

A former commanding officer of the USS Enterprise who faces possible punishment because of lewd videos shown to the crew has lost his job as head of a Singapore-based logistics group. Rear Adm. Ron Horton, commander, Logistics Group, Western Pacific, was promptly relieved of command on Thursday by Adm. Patrick M. Walsh, commander of the U.S. Pacific fleet.

The investigation further confirmed that CAPT Honors did in fact receive complaints regarding the content of the videos shown during “XO Movie Night”, but deliberately chose not to change or alter his inappropriate behavior. In fact, over time, the productions spiraled downward with increasingly offensive content.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service released more information Friday in the case of an Anderson County man who stole explosives from a Marine base.

The story erroneously reports a five year sentence, it was four; and they did not note a one PTA. (Note, I was his CDC.)

As expected, the Article 32, UCMJ, Appointing Authority has forwarded United States v. Hasan to the CA with a capital referral recommendation.

Alamogordo Daily News reports:

A Holloman Air Force Base airman’s sentencing was handed down Wednesday following a general court-martial, according to a press release. The press release, which was issued Friday from the 49th Wing Public Affairs office, stated that Senior Airman Phillip Warren, 24, a materiel maintenance specialist with the 49th Logistics Readiness Squadron, was found guilty on charges of premeditated attempted murder, absence without leave, wrongful appropriation of a vehicle and assault resulting in grievous bodily injury. Warren was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, 22 years confinement, reduction of grade to E-1 or airman basic and forfeiture of all pay and allowances, according to the release.
