Boston Globe reports: An Army sergeant accused of killing his roommate, a Falmouth man, while the two served in Iraq will face a hearing next month that will determine whether the case should go before a court martial, according to the victim’s family.

ABA Journal reports that: Saying that the jury was hopelessly deadlocked in its sixth day of deliberations, a federal judge today declared a mistrial in the case of New Jersey attorney Paul Bergrin, the Star-Ledger reports. He has been in custody since 2009, awaiting trial not only in this case but in an unusual federal racketeering case in which he is accused of operating his law firm as a criminal enterprise, along with a high-class prostitution business and acting as a supplier of cocaine to a drug ring.

Army Times reports: Private Ritchie, an Alaska-based soldier who checked himself into a Florida hospital for treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder has been arrested for being AWOL from duty in Afghanistan.
